我空軍F-16飛官高鼎程少校22日在美受訓時不幸罹難，載運遺體的專機31日凌晨5點30分降落桃園機場，家屬捧著遺照、忠靈罐骨走下飛機，空軍司令沈一鳴上將率儀隊官兵桃園機場迎靈，高鼎程同學們也在場，無比哀戚。

桃機迎靈儀式結束後，高鼎程的妻子吳語雯捧著丈夫骨灰，回到苗栗老家。苗栗縣長徐耀昌、縣議員李文斌等人也前往撚香弔唁。高鼎程夫婦有一個1歲5個月的女兒，小兒子2個月前才出生。
高鼎程60歲的父親高青淋面對各方外界關心，難過得無法言語，只能以手示意。停留10分鐘之餘便前往空軍嘉義基地，中午12時舉行公祭儀式。
空軍邀請總統馬英九出席致意，並頒發褒揚令給高鼎程遺孀。公祭儀式中，空軍安排憲兵鳴槍、F-16戰機編隊衝場，對高鼎程致敬。

其中戰機衝場由4架F-16戰機以「懷念者隊形」編隊衝場，其中一架脫隊單飛，代表空軍對高鼎程的最高致意。高鼎程骨灰將安葬於新店碧潭空軍烈士公墓。
